From the campsite, visit Saint Gilles Croix de Vie
Saint Gilles Croix de Vie is just 30 minutes away from the campsite
To the north of the Sauveterre Campsite, along the coast and through the Olonne-sur-Mer National Forest, you’ll arrive at Brem-sur-Mer, then Bretignolles and finally Saint Gilles Croix de Vie.
This charming small town is known above all for its fishing port, as well as it marina. Beyond Saint Gilles Croix de Vie, you’ll arrive at Saint Hilaire de Riez, then Saint Jean de Monts and the road to Noirmoutier.
The region around Saint Gilles is filled with beaches, forest marshes, the countryside with its bourrines (traditional houses), and small villages with their churches – in short, a peaceful area that’s a great place to visit for a day out on the northern Vendée coast.
